July 23 - Cadboro Bay (#67)

I went out for a quick evening paddle around Cadboro Bay in the surf ski. It was quite windy with a little chop, and you can see on the track that I got some help from the wind and current between Cattle Point and Jemmy Jones. It was good to clear the cobwebs out! There was a SUP event going on at the beach in Gyro Park.

July 9th - Westover Lake (AB) (#66)

While staying with Jack and Mary, we went for a short paddle on nearby Westover Lake. There was a loon calling as well as lots of little "clouds" of small fish dotted around the shallow lake. I also had fun watching leeches move around!

July 8th - New Denver (#65)

I went for a short morning SUP paddle on our last morning in New Denver (BTW, we loved our visit to new Denver, especially hiking to Idaho Peak and the Sandon ghost town). Again nice clam conditions with magnificent views of the Valhallas.

July 7 - Oyama (#s 62, 63, 64)

While in Oyama on our way to Alberta, I managed to squeeze in three paddles. A solo morning paddle and an afternoon paddle with Monica and a solo SUP outing. Conditions were nice and sunny and calm.

June 28 - July 2 Gwaii Hanaas (#s 58-61)

While I was working on MV Swell as a naturalist in Gwaii Hanaas, I managed to get out for 4 short paddles in one of their cute little Delta 10s. We had amazing weather and conditions throughout the trip and it was great to putter about in our anchorages in the kayaks.Looking forward to Alaska and the North Coast in August.
